Abstract

Allyl chloride merupakan bahan antara penting dalam industri kimia yang digunakan sebagai bahan baku pembuatanepiklorohidrin untuk resin epoksi, gliserol, plastik, elastomer, dan bahan kimia khusus lainnya. Pabrik allyl chloride ini dirancang dengan kapasitas produksi sebesar 5.900 ton per tahun dan direncanakan dibangun di kawasan industri Cilegon, Provinsi Banten, di atas lahan seluas 28,35 ha. Pemilihan lokasi didasarkan pada ketersediaan infrastruktur industri yang memadai, kemudahan akses terhadap bahan baku dan utilitas, serta kedekatan dengan pasar industri kimia nasional. Bahan baku utama yang digunakan adalah propilena dengan kemurnian 99% dan klorin, yang seluruhnya diumpankan dalam fase gas. Proses produksi dilakukan melalui katalitik klorinasi dalam reaktor fluidized bed menggunakan katalis tembaga (II) klorida (CuCl₂) yang berfungsi meningkatkan selektivitas pembentukan allyl chloride sekaligus menekan terbentuknya produk samping. Reaksi ini menghasilkan produk samping berupa 2- kloropropana dan 2,3-dikloropropana yang selanjutnya dipisahkan melalui unit distilasi untuk menghasilkan allyl chloride dengan kemurnian 99,5% sesuai spesifikasi produk. Berdasarkan analisis kelayakan ekonomi, pabrik ini dinyatakan layak untuk didirikan. Nilai IRR sebesar 36% jauh melampaui bunga bank yang berkisar 6–14%, sedangkan Net Present Value (NPV) sebesar $12.202.717.271 yang menunjukkan bahwa pabrik mampu menghasilkan keuntungan signifikan selama masa operasinya. Modal investasi dapat dikembalikan dalam waktu 3,1 tahun, dengan nilai DCFR sebesar 24% dan ROI after tax sebesar 45,72%. Serta nilai BEP 35,76%.
