Abstract
Kenaikan Temperatur operasi yang tinggi pada panel surya dapat menurunkan daya keluaran dan efisiensi konversi energi listrik. Salah satu metode untuk mengurangi temperatur tersebut adalah penerapan sistem Partially Submerged Photovoltaic (PSPV) melalui perendaman sebagian panel menggunakan media cair. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi kadar garam pada media perendaman terhadap temperatur dan kinerja panel surya monocrystalline berkapasitas 50 Wp. Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental dengan rasio perendaman sebesar 50% menggunakan variasi konsentrasi larutan garam 0%, 3%, 5%, dan 10%. Parameter yang diamati meliputi irradiance, temperatur panel, daya keluaran, dan efisiensi panel surya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan sistem PSPV mampu menurunkan temperatur rata-rata panel dari 43,54°C pada kondisi tanpa perendaman menjadi 40,28°C, 39,79°C, dan 39,09°C pada media perendaman 0%, 5%, dan 10%. Temperatur maksimum panel juga mengalami penurunan dari 58,9°C menjadi 51,2°C, 50,4°C, dan 49,6°C. Meskipun demikian, penambahan kadar garam belum memberikan peningkatan terhadap performa listrik panel surya. Variasi media perendaman 0% (air tanpa garam) menghasilkan daya maksimum hingga 25 W dengan efisiensi maksimum sekitar 19%, lebih tinggi dibandingkan variasi 3%, 5%, dan 10%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem PSPV efektif dalam menurunkan temperatur operasi panel surya, namun penggunaan larutan garam hingga konsentrasi 10% belum mampu meningkatkan daya keluaran maupun efisiensi dibandingkan media perendaman air tanpa garam.
