Abstract
Pertumbuhan infrastruktur transportasi di Indonesia meningkatkan kebutuhan agregat alam, seperti pasir Palu, untuk konstruksi perkerasan jalan sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan permasalahan ketersediaan sumber daya dan lingkungan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan material alternatif yang lebih berkelanjutan, salah satunya melalui pemanfaatan limbah industri. Berkembangnya industri pengolahan logam di Morowali menghasilkan limbah Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GBFS) dalam jumlah besar yang belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GBFS) memiliki tekstur kasar dan kekerasan yang berpotensi digunakan sebagai substitusi agregat halus pada campuran aspal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kadar aspal optimum (KAO) campuran Asphalt Concrete–Binder course (AC-BC), kadar Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GBFS) optimum sebagai substitusi agregat halus, serta pengaruhnya terhadap karakteristik Marshall berdasarkan Spesifikasi Umum Bina Marga 2018 Revisi ke-2. Metode penelitian meliputi pengujian sifat fisik material, perancangan proporsi agregat, dan pengujian Marshall dengan variasi substitusi Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GBFS) sebesar 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, dan 100%. Penentuan kadar optimum dilakukan melalui analisis terhadap seluruh parameter Marshall, meliputi stabilitas, Marshall quotient (MQ), Flow, Void in Mix (VIM), Void in Mineral Aggregate (VMA), Void Filled with Asphalt (VFA), dan density, pada setiap variasi kadar substitusi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kadar substitusi GBFS 75% memberikan kinerja terbaik dengan nilai stabilitas tertinggi sebesar 1.564,91 kg dan Marshall quotient (MQ) tertinggi sebesar 552,32 kg/mm dibandingkan variasi lainnya, sementara nilai Flow tetap stabil pada rentang aman. Seluruh parameter Marshall pada kadar tersebut memenuhi Spesifikasi Umum Bina Marga 2018 Revisi ke-2, sehingga kadar substitusi Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GBFS) 75% ditetapkan sebagai kadar optimum dan berpotensi digunakan sebagai substitusi agregat halus pada campuran AC-BC.
