Abstract

Perkembangan industri otomotif menuntut metode penyambungan pelat logam yang efisien dan fleksibel. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh variasi arus terhadap sifat mekanik dan struktur mikro sambungan las titik metode GTAW pada AA1100 ketebalan 0,8 mm. Variasi arus yang digunakan adalah 60 A, 70 A, dan 80 A dengan waktu tahan 5 detik dan gas pelindung argon. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan arus menurunkan kekuatan tegangan geser, dengan nilai tertinggi pada 60 A sebesar 71,19 MPa, diikuti 70 A sebesar 58,85 MPa, dan terendah 80 A sebesar 42,20 MPa akibat meningkatnya heat input yang menyebabkan distorsi termal. Seluruh spesimen mengalami pull-out failure yang mengindikasikan kualitas sambungan yang baik. Ukuran butir weld metal terkecil diperoleh pada arus 60 A sebesar 7,76 µm, sedangkan butir HAZ terbesar terjadi pada 80 A sebesar 13,05 µm, konsisten dengan mekanisme Hall–Petch. Arus 60 A memberikan kualitas sambungan terbaik dan berpotensi sebagai alternatif RSW pada industri otomotif. Kata Kunci: GTAW, Arus Pengelasan, Las Titik, AA1100, Uji Tegangan Geser, dan Struktur Mikro.
