Abstract

In order to increase the application of renewable energy, the installation of Solar Power Plants (PLTS) in high-rise buildings is popular in Indonesia. In order to provide maximum benefits, plts installation must pay attention to the potential of the power generated and the appropriate components. This final task intends to analyze the potential installation of plts system on the rooftop of BNI office building located in Balikpapan Permai. This location is taken because of the high place so it is possible to be able to get sunlight energy without anything blocking or for example such a tall building. The design of plts in BNI Building has a total solar panel output power of 9.84 kW. The panel capacity used is 410 Wp with a total panel of 24 pieces, 1 inverter and 28 batteries used as power backup. The results of the design of PLTS in BNI Balikpapan Permai Bank building proved to have good potential so that it can be realized even in changing weather conditions. Plts system has a greater total power than the total power consumption in BNI Bank Building with a power consumption of 33 kW, while for the plts system in November obtained power of 50,784kW and power generated in December of 45,696 kW. So bni office will get a power surplus of 12,696 kW – 17,784 kW. Keywords : Energy, Solar, Photovoltaic, PLTS
