Abstract
Turbin Archimedean screw ialah salah satu turbin air yang berjenis turbin reaksi yang pemanfaatan energi potensial yang kemudian akan diubah menjadi energi mekanik. Penelitian ini membahas pengaruh head terhadap performa pada model turbin Archimedean screw dua sudu. Turbin dengan head 300 mm, 500 mm, dan 700 mm. Turbin dengan head 500 mm merupakan turbin dengan performa terbaik dengan daya turbin tertinggi yang dihasilkan sebesar 5,717 Watt dengan efisiensi turbin yang dihasilkan sebesar 26,703 % pada debit aliran air sebesar 0,00436 m3/s. Pada turbin dengan head 300 mm memiliki daya turbin yang rendah dibandingkan variasi head yang lain yaitu, daya turbin tertinggi sebesar 3,388 Watt dengan efisiensi turbin tertinggi yang dihasilkan sebesar 26,389 % dengan debit aliran yang sama. Serta pada pengujian turbin dengan head 700 mm perbedaannya berada pada efisiensi turbin yang lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan variasi head yang lain yaitu, efisiensi turbin tertinggi yang dihasilkan sebesar 20,419 %.
