Abstract
Laboratorium Terpadu 1 ITK memiliki konsumsi energi listrik yang tinggi akibat dominasi beban induktif seperti motor dan pompa, yang menyebabkan faktor daya rendah dan rugi daya tinggi. Berdasarkan pengukuran menggunakan Hioki PQ3100, faktor daya awal sistem tercatat sebesar 0,8001, daya reaktif sebesar 20,86 kVAR, dan rugi daya sebesar 0,87 kW. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, penelitian ini mengusulkan metode optimasi penempatan dan kapasitas bank kapasitor menggunakan algoritma Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) yang diimplementasikan melalui MATLAB. Sistem distribusi listrik dimodelkan secara radial dengan 11 bus dan dianalisis menggunakan metode Forward Backward Sweep (FBS). Fungsi objektif GWO mempertimbangkan peningkatan faktor daya, pengurangan rugi daya, kestabilan tegangan, dan efisiensi penggunaan kapasitor, serta penalti untuk solusi tidak layak seperti overkompensasi. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa metode GWO berhasil meningkatkan faktor daya dari 0,8001 menjadi 0,9852, mengurangi daya reaktif menjadi 4,96 kVAR, serta menurunkan rugi daya menjadi 0,57 kW. Optimasi menempatkan kapasitor secara strategis pada bus 2 hingga bus 7 dengan total kapasitas 16 kVAR. Waktu komputasi yang dibutuhkan kurang dari 1 detik. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa GWO efektif dalam meningkatkan efisiensi sistem distribusi listrik. Kata kunci: Bank kapasitor, Faktor daya, GWO, Optimasi, Sistem distribusi.
