Abstract

Produksi LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) berbahan baku aspal buton dengan kapasitas 155.000 ton/tahun akan didirikan di Luwuk, Sulawesi Tengah. Bahan baku aspal buton berupa fasa padat akan diperoleh dari PT. Wika Bitumen. Pabrik akan dirancang beroperasi secara kontinyu. Dalam menghasilkan produksi LPG terdiri dari tiga tahapan proses, yaitu tahap persiapan bahan baku, tahap sintesa LPG, dan tahap pemurnian produk LPG. Tahap persiapan bahan baku dilakukan dengan cara mengekstraksi aspal buton dengan pelarut benzena untuk memperoleh kandungan aspalten yang terdapat dalam batuan aspal buton. Selanjutnya, tahap sintesa LPG dilakukan dengan mereaksikan aspalten dengan gas hidrogen dengan proses catalytic hydrocracking. Hasil reaksi yang dihasilkan dari reaktor fixed bed berupa sisa H2, LPG, gasoline, diesel, coke, dan pengotor berupa CO2 dan H2S. Tahap pemurnian produk dilakukan dengan memisahkan kandungan CO2 dan H2S dalam LPG dengan menggunakan absorber. Produk samping yang dihasilkan dari pabrik LPG ini berupa gasoline dan diesel. Produk samping akan dipisahkan dengan menggunakan kolom distilasi. Produk samping akan dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan bakar pada furnace. Pabrik LPG ini memiliki jumlah pekerja sebanyak 312 pekerja dengan waktu operasi 24 jam selama setahun sehingga pekerja akan dibagi menjadi 3 shift dengan 8 jam kerja/shift. Pabrik LPG ini berdiri dengan luas tanah sebesar 47.670 m2. Adapun kebutuhan listrik yang dibutuhkan pabrik LPG sebesar 840.946 Hp dan kebutuhan air sebesar 1.033.486 liter/jam. Diperoleh jumlah modal investasi (TCI) sebesar $ 86.556.502, TCI terbagi menjadi 2 yaitu modal tetap (FCI) sebesar $ 75.266.523 dan modal kerja (WCI) sebesar $ 11.289.978. Berdasarkan aspek ekonomi teknik didapatkan nilai DCFR pabrik sebesar 16,04%, DPBP sebesar 11,602 tahun, NPV sebesar $ 85.184.485, ROI sebesar 47%, BEP sebesar 70%. Berdasarkan aspek tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pabrik LPG ini layak untuk dikaji lebih lanjut.
