Abstract

Phenol atau hydroxybenzene dengan rumus kimia C6H5OH merupakan senyawa organik aromatik berbentuk cair, Kebutuhan phenol di dunia terus mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dengan pertumbuhan mencapai 6,2% per tahun 2020 hingga 2025. Proses produksi phenol dari benzena dan propilena dengan menggunakan metode cumene merupakan metode paling efisien dan ekonomis dengan hasil yield 92% dan juga bahan baku yang tersedia melimpah di Indonesia. Pabrik akan di bangun dilokasi kawasan Industri Wijaya Kusuma dengan luas tanah sebesar 6 H. Kapasitas Produksi Pabrik Phenol yang akan didirikan sebesar 52.000 ton/tahun menggunakan bahan baku benzene 5.610 kg/jam dan propilene 3.021kg/jam, Pabrik ini membutuhkan utilitas berupa air pendingin, boiler feed water, dan bahan bakar gas dengan kebutuhan masing-masing 255.866,751 Kg/jam, 4.696,139 Kg/jam, 332,014 Kg/jam, Pabrik ini mengonsumsi listrik sebesar 2451,40 kW, Adapaun total modal (TCI) dari parik ini sebesar $ 94.915.690,93, Aspek ekonomi yang terukur dari pabrik ini adalah nilai BEP sebesar 85%, ROI sebesar 45%, dan DCFR sebesar 44.59%, Maka atas dasar beberapa aspek tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa pabrik phenol layak untuk dikaji lebih lanjut.
