Abstract

Kapal patroli merupakan salah satu jenis kapal cepat yang membutuhkan performa hidrodinamika dan efisiensi energi yang baik untuk menunjang kegiatan operasional. Salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi performa hidrodinamika kapal adalah geometri lambung, khususnya sudut chine. Perubahan sudut chine dapat memengaruhi karakteristik aliran fluida, distribusi tekanan, serta hambatan yang terjadi pada lambung kapal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi sudut chine terhadap hambatan hidrodinamika dan efisiensi energi operasional kapal patroli tipe planing hull. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) dengan bantuan perangkat lunak ANSYS Fluent. Model kapal yang digunakan memiliki panjang 3,25 m dengan variasi sudut chine sebesar 10°, 20°, 30°, dan sudut asli. Simulasi dilakukan pada kecepatan 20, 21, 22, 23, dan 24 knot. Sebelum simulasi utama dilakukan, grid independence study digunakan untuk memperoleh jumlah mesh yang menghasilkan solusi konvergen dan independen terhadap ukuran mesh. Parameter yang dianalisis meliputi hambatan total, visualisasi aliran (volume fraction), distribusi tekanan (pressure contour), dan nilai Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI). Hambatan terendah diperoleh pada variasi chine 10° sebesar 50,91 N pada kecepatan 20 knot, sedangkan hambatan tertinggi diperoleh pada variasi chine 30° sebesar 70,28 N pada kecepatan 24 knot. Nilai EEDI yang dihasilkan untuk variasi chine 10°, 20°, 30°, dan sudut asli masing-masing berkisar antara 0,162–0,198; 0,187–0,214; 0,187–0,223; dan 0,169–0,205.
