Abstract
Pada Kapal SPOB terdapat banyak sekali tangki – tangki yang memiliki fungsi untuk menampung minyak yang nantinya akan didistribusikan. Semakin banyaknya tangki juga harus dapat diperhatikan keselamatannya terutama terkait tentang kebocoran tangki. Adapun perhitungan damage stability dilakukan pada tahap akhir dari proses desain dan saat itulah desainer dapat memastikan apakah kapal memiliki stabilitas yang memadai untuk memenuhi peraturan stabilitas kerusakan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hasil analisis Damage Stability kapal SPOB 4650 KL apakah telah memenuhi kriteria dari SOLAS chapter II-1 Part B-1 tentang Subdivision and Damage Stability for Cargo Ship dengan menggunakan metode damage probabilistic. Pada penelitian ini terdapat 8 zona kebocoran, 2 sekat memanjang serta 2 deck pada zona kebocoran. Penelitian ini menggunakan bantuan perangkat Maxsurf Modeler untuk desain 3 dimensi dan Maxsurf Stability untuk menganalisis stabilitas kebocoran. Hasil dari penelitian diperoleh nilai indeks A sebesar 0.999782 dan indeks R sebesar 0.4209 sehingga memenuhi kriteria SOLAS (A≥R). Adapun jumlah maksimum zona kebocoran pada kapal ini yaitu 3 kompartemen.
