Abstract

Produksi logam kromium dari bijih kromit dengan kapasitas 1.900 ton/tahun terdiri dari 3 tahapan proses, yaitu tahap pre-treatment bahan baku, tahap sintesa dan tahap pemurnian. Tahap pre-treatment dilakukan size reduction untuk memperoleh bijih kromit dengan ukuran fine particle. Kemudian tahap sintesa dilakukan proses leaching dengan mereaksikan bijih kromit dan asam sulfat pada reaktor alir tangki berpengaduk. Tahap pemurnian dilakukan untuk menghilangkan pengotor agar diperoleh produk dengan kemurnian yang tinggi. Pabrik logam kromium memiliki jumlah pekerja sebanyak 120 pekerja dengan waktu operasional 24 jam selama setahun yang dibagi menjadi 3 shift dengan 8 jam kerja/shift. Pabrik ini direncanakan akan didirikan di Kecamatan Bungku Tengah, Kabupaten Morowali, Sulawesi Tengah dengan luas tanah sebesar 24.920 m2. Pabrik logam kromium ini membutuhkan listrik sebesar 931,2 kW dan kebutuhan air sebesar 11.642,95 m3/jam. Adapun modal tetap (FCI) dan modal kerja (WCI) yang dibutuhkan dalam pembangunan pabrik ini secara berturut-turut sebesar Rp227.769.541.594 dan Rp40.194.624.987. Sehingga jumlah modal investasi (TCI) pabrik ini sebesar Rp267.964.166.581. Berdasarkan aspek ekonomi nilai DCFR pabrik ini sebesar 23,61%, ROI sebesar 56,4% dan BEP sebesar 43%. Dari aspek tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pabrik logam kromium ini layak dikaji lebih lanjut. Kata Kunci : Bijih Kromit, Leaching, Logam Kromium
