Abstract

Fender merupakan fasilitas yang ada pada sisi dermaga yang berguna untuk tempat sandar nya kapal pada Pelabuhan Semayang fender tersebut telah terjadi kerusakan. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah melakukakan inovasi dari fender CSS 1000. Metode dalam penyelesaian penelitian ini adalah dengan metode elemen hingga dengan melakukan pengolahan data primer yaitu melakukan pengamatan langsung di lapangan sedangkan data sekunder didapat dari data kapal, angin, arus dan pasang surut air laut dengan menggunakan website BMKG serta menggunakan studi literatur yang berkaitan. Pemilihan sistem Fender berdasarkan perhitungan energi benturan kapal terhadap dermaga Semayang Balikpapan. Sehingga didapatkan hasil perhitungan energi benturan pada Fender sebesar 261.307 kNm aliternatif instalasi jarak tiap Fender sebesar 15.5, adapun inovasi yang dilakukan yaitu desain yang memperhatikan air flow pada rubber membentuk model multi rongga atau multi tubular yang aerodynamic dan di desain menggunakan Ansys Workbench Static Structural, yang unggul dalam simulasi total deformation, dan strain energy dan ter-eliminasi pada simulasi equivalent stress
