Abstract

Perkembangan dan kemajuan transportasi sejalan dengan penguatan ekonomi nasional. Peningkatan kebutuhan transportasi secara langsung berdampak pada aktivitas masyarakat mempengaruhi jumlah emisi kendaraan bermotor yang meningkatkan temperatur global atau menciptakan efek rumah kaca. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menganalisis beban emisi gas rumah kaca (CO2, CH4, dan N2O) yang dihasilkan dari sektor transportasi darat di Jalan Soekarno Hatta dan Jalan Ahmad Yani dengan menggunakan metode perhitungan konsumsi bahan bakar dan metode perhitungan jarak tempuh (VKT), 2) mengetahui perbandingan nilai beban emisi gas rumah kaca (CO2, CH4, dan N2O) yang dihasilkan dari sektor transportasi darat di Jalan Ahmad Yani dan Jalan Soekarno Hatta Kota Balikpapan pada weekday dan weekend. parameter CO2 dan CH4 menggunakan metode perhitungan jarak tempuh (VKT). Sedangkan untuk parameter N2O lebih tinggi menggunakan metode perhitungan konsumsi bahan bakar. Jumlah kendaraan tertinggi diperoleh pada jam 16.00-18.00 WITA. Beban emisi GRK pada weekday di Jalan Soekarno Hatta dan Jalan Ahmad Yani lebih tinggi daripada beban emisi pada weekend.
