Abstract
Pabrik amonium sulfat dirancang dengan kapasitas produksi 100.000 ton per tahun, menggunakan bahan baku utama berupa amonia 99,5% sebanyak 26.017 ton/tahun dan asam sulfat 98% sebanyak 75.757 ton/tahun. Bahan baku tersebut diperoleh dari PT Petrokimia Gresik yang lokasinya berdekatan dengan pabrik yaitu kawasan industri JIIPE Gresik. Proses produksi dilakukan melalui reaksi netralisasi antara gas amonia dan larutan asam sulfat dalam reaktor gelembung. Reaksi ini bersifat eksotermis dan berlangsung pada suhu 110°C serta dengan tekanan 1 atm. Pabrik beroperasi secara kontinyu selama 330 hari per tahun dengan waktu operasional 24 jam per hari. Kebutuhan utilitas untuk mendukung operasional pabrik meliputi air pendingin sebesar 4.134.179,40 m³/year, air proses sebesar 318.292,70 kg/tahun, steam sebesar 6.775.116 kg/tahun, listrik sebesar 576.727,92 kWh/year, dan udara kering sebesar 144,037.920 kg/tahun. Dari hasil evaluasi ekonomi didapatkan (TCI) sebesar $ 65.457.457,25, (TDC) sebesar $ 48.805.998,83, Pada kapasitas produksi penuh, diperoleh nilai ROI sebesar 96,45%, BEP sebesar 50%, SDP sebesar 26%, DBPB sebesar 1,55 tahun, DFCR sebesar 32,24%, NPV sebesar $540.574.806. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, pabrik amonium sulfat dengan kapasitas 100.000 ton/tahun ini layak untuk direalisasikan. Kata Kunci: Amonia, Asam Sulfat, Amonium Sulfat, DCFR, ROI.
