Abstract

Provinsi Jawa Barat menjadi provinsi dengan penghasil sampah sisa kain terbanyak di Indonesia dengan jumlahnya yang cukup besar menjadi permasalahan yang perlu ditangani,permasalahan yang ada juga terjadi di Simivi Fashion, Kota Garut, Jawa Barat. Proses produksinya masih menghadapi tantangan besar dalam pengelolaan sisa kain, dengan adanya penumpukan sisa kain yang tidak ditangani, sehingga belum mendukung industri fashion yang keberlanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keberlanjutan Simivi Fashion terhadap sisa kain produksi yang ditinjau dari sustainable manufacturing, menganalisis pengurangan sisa kain ditinjau dari konsep 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), dan memberikan rekomendasi bagi Simivi Fashion dalam mengembangkan industri fashion berkelanjutan berdasarkan tiga pilar keberlanjutan dari segi aspek lingkungan, sosial, dan ekonomi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Simivi Fashion belum secara maksimal mendukung industri fashion yang berkelanjutan dengan adanya sisa kain yang fluktuatif tiap bulannya dan penumpukan sisa kain paling banyak ditimbulkan dari proses produksi yaitu proses pemotongan kain (cutting). Penerapan konsep reduce masih sulit dimaksimalkan terutama pada proses obras, penjahitan dan quality and finishing, penerapan konsep reuse dilakukan dengan penggunaan kembali sisa kain dalam proses cutting atau sebagai detail desain, penerapan konsep recycle memiliki potensi untuk mengolah sisa kain menjadi produk daur ulang seperti barang atau aksesori fashion (gelang, headpiece, bros, tas wanita) dan produk rumah tangga (sarung bantal, taplak meja, tatakan gelas), namun penerapan recycle masih terbatas dengan kekurangan SDM yang memiliki keterampilan dibidangnya. Rekomendasi yang diberikan mencakup pemanfaatan kembali sisa kain dalam proses produksi (reuse) serta daur ulang menjadi produk baru (recycle). Hal ini diharapkan Simivi Fashion tidak hanya mampu mengurangi penumpukan sisa kain produksi (lingkungan), tetapi juga membuka peluang pelatihan dan lapangan kerja bagi masyarakat lokal (sosial), hingga menambah nilai ekonomi baru (ekonomi) menuju industri fashion yang berkelanjutan kedepannya.
