Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi berperan penting dalam bidang keamanan, salah satunya melalui pemanfaatan Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) untuk memantau lalu lintas jalan raya. Namun, pada malam hari, kualitas rekaman CCTV menurun akibat pencahayaan rendah dan tidak merata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pencahayaan citra CCTV jalan raya di malam hari menggunakan metode Dual Illumination Estimation, serta membandingkannya dengan dua metode konvensional, yaitu Histogram Equalization dan Contrast Stretching, melalui evaluasi subjektif dan objektif. Metode Dual Illumination Estimation bekerja dengan mengoreksi area gelap dan terang secara terpisah menggunakan pendekatan forward dan reverse illumination, lalu digabungkan melalui multi-exposure fusion sehingga menghasilkan citra dengan pencahayaan yang lebih seimbang. Evaluasi subjektif dilakukan melalui kuesioner Google Form dengan skala Likert, dan evaluasi objektif menggunakan metrik Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR). Evaluasi subjektif menunjukkan metode Dual Illumination Estimation memperoleh nilai tertinggi pada pencahayaan tidak merata, yaitu 82,61% di Markoni dan 80,69% di Torani (citra asli), serta 82,27% dan 80,62% (dengan noise). Contrast Stretching unggul pada pencahayaan rendah dengan nilai 80,82% di Kebun Sayur dan 74,77% di Tanjakan Mazda (citra asli), serta 77,25% dan 73,06% (dengan noise). Histogram Equalization hanya unggul di Tanjakan Mazda (dengan noise) sebesar 73,13%. Secara objektif, Dual Illumination Estimation mencatat SNR tertinggi pada pencahayaan rendah 1,14 dan 1,24 (citra asli), serta 1,00 dan 1,29 (dengan noise). Contrast Stretching mencatat SNR tinggi 20,38 hingga 322,56 pada pencahayaan tidak merata, namun tidak sejalan dengan persepsi visual responden. Histogram Equalization mencatat SNR terendah (0,09-2,90). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan metode Dual Illumination Estimation lebih adaptif dalam meningkatkan pencahayaan citra CCTV malam hari, terutama pada kondisi tidak merata.
