Abstract

Industri galangan kapal mengalami pertumbuhan pesat dari tahun ke tahun, baik dari segi teknologi maupun manajemen produksi. Pertumbuhan ini mendorong industri galangan kapal untuk terus meningkatkan efektifitas dan efisiensi proses produksi agar mampu bersaing dari segi kualitas dan waktu. PT. Modding Jaya Marine, adalah galangan yang fokus pada bidang reparasi dan produksi kapal. Penelitian tugas akhir ini menganalisis produksi kapal jenis landing craft tank (LCT) Lestari Nurindo 37, dengan menganalisis real progess berdasarkan S-Curve, menggunakan metode MCE dan pendekatan SOAR sebagai bahan evaluasi untuk mengetahui serta meningkatkan efisiensi waktu produksi kapal LCT yang berikutnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Manufacturing Cycle Effectiveness (MCE), yang merupakan ukuran untuk menunjukkan value add-activities proses produksi, dengan nilai MCE awal berdasarkan kondisi aktual perusahaan yaitu 70%, yang mengindikasikan bahwa 30% dari aktivitas produksi merupakan aktivitas non value-added (NVA). Setelah dilakukan evaluasi terhadap aktivitas waiting time, moving time, dan inspection time, nilai MCE meningkat menjadi 79%. Peningkatan sebesar 9% dengan berdasarkan pada s-curve, durasi kenaikan total produksi per dua minggu yang semula 48 minggu mengalami penurunan menjadi 43 minggu setelah peningkatan MCE ini menunjukkan adanya perbaikan efisiensi waktu kerja yang signifikan untuk menghasilkan value bagi customer serta membuktikan bahwa perusahaan sudah menuju ke tingkat produktivitas yang stabil. Kemudian hasil evaluasi dengan pendekatan Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results (SOAR) juga mengidentifikasi kekuatan internal berupa koordinasi tim dan pengawasan mutu, serta peluang eksternal seperti tingginya permintaan pasar terkait kapal LCT dan rencana penambahan SDM serta pengadaan fasilitas produksi tertutup yang menjadi faktor pendorong utama pencapaian aspirasi efisiensi berkelanjutan. Penurunan aktivitas NVA sebesar 15–35% membuktikan bahwa pengurangan pemborosan melalui metode MCE dan pendekatan SOAR dapat menjadi dasar perencanaan produksi kapal LCT selanjutnya. This growth encourages shipyards to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the production process to remain competitive in terms of quality and time. PT. Modding Jaya Marine is a shipyard focused on ship repair and production. This final project analyzes the production of the landing craft tank (LCT) vessel Lestari Nurindo 37, by analyzing the real progress based on the S-Curve, using the MCE method and the SOAR approach as an evaluation tool to understand and improve the production time efficiency for future LCT ship construction. The method used in this study is Manufacturing Cycle Effectiveness (MCE), which serves as a measure to identify value-added activities in the production process. The initial MCE value, based on the company's actual condition, was 70%, indicating that 30% of the production activities were non-value-added (NVA). After evaluation of activities such as waiting time, moving time, and inspection time, the MCE value increased to 79%. This 9% increase, based on the S-Curve, resulted in a reduction of the total production duration from 48 weeks to 43 weeks, showing a significant improvement in work time efficiency to deliver greater value to the customer and indicating that the company is approaching a stable level of productivity. Furthermore, the evaluation results using the Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results (SOAR) approach also identified internal strengths such as team coordination and quality control, as well as external opportunities including the high market demand for LCT vessels and plans for workforce expansion and the development of enclosed production facilities, which are key drivers for achieving long-term efficiency aspirations. The reduction of NVA activities by 15–35% proves that waste reduction through the MCE method and the SOAR approach can serve as the foundation for planning future LCT ship production.
