Abstract

Stunting merupakan masalah kesehatan serius akibat kekurangan gizi yang berdampak pada pertumbuhan anak. Di Kota Balikpapan, prevalensi stunting meningkat dari 17,6% (2021) menjadi 21,6% (2023), dengan target penurunan menjadi 14% pada tahun 2024. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengelompokkan kasus stunting di Puskesmas Kota Balikpapan menggunakan metode K-Means dan K-Medoids dengan jumlah klaster bervariasi (2–10). Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan indeks validitas Davies-Bouldin (DBI), Xie-Beni (XB), dan Dunn Index (DI). Hasil penelitian dengan kedua metode K-Means dan K-Medoids diperoleh indeks validitas optimal adalah metode K-Medoids dengan jumlah cluster sebanyak 4 cluster. Cluster 1 beranggotakan sebanyak 9 puskesmas yang mencakup Manggar, Damai, Gunung Sari Ilir, Karang Rejo, Muara Rapak, Gunung Samarinda, Karang Joang, Margasari, Perawatan Baru Ulu, menunjukkan bahwa wilayah tersebut memiliki kasus stunting yang rendah. Cluster 2 terdiri dari Puskesmas Lamaru, Sepinggan Baru, Gunung Sari Ulu, Mekar Sari, Gunung Smarinda, Batu Ampar, Margo Mulyo, Batu Ilir, dan Baru Tengah, menunjukkan bahwa wilayah tersebut memiliki kasus stunting yang sedang. Cluster 3 terdiri dari Puskesmas Gunung Bahagia, Prapatan, Karang Jati, Sumber Rejo, Perawatan Kariangau. Cluster 4 terdiri dari Puskesmas Teritip, Manggar Baru, Klandasan Ilir, Telaga Sari, menunjukkan bahwa wilayah tersebut memiliki kasus stunting yang tinggi.
