Abstract

Amonium nitrat (NH₄NO₃) merupakan bahan peledak utama dalam industri pertambangan di Indonesia yang terbentuk dari reaksi amonia dan asam nitrat 1 : 1. Meskipun potensinya besar, Indonesia masih melakukan impor untuk memenuhi kebutuhan amonium nitrat. Pabrik akan dibangun di Bontang, Kalimantan Timur, tepatnya pada Kawasan Industrial Estate dengan kapasitas sebesar 160.000 ton/tahun. Metode UHDE digunakan karena memiliki sejumlah keunggulan, seperti biaya operasi yang lebih rendah, desain yang sederhana, serta efisiensi energi yang tinggi. Proses pembuatan amonium nitrat terdiri dari persiapan bahan baku, proses pembentukan produk, proses pemurnian produk, dan proses pembutiran produk. Reaksi pada metode UHDE terjadi pada suhu 145°C dengan tekanan 1 bar didalam bubble reactor. Hasil dari reaktor kemudian masuk pada evaporator dalam keadaan vacuum untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi larutan dengan kemurnian 93%. Keluaran akhir dari seluruh proses merupakan produk amonium nitrate dengan bentuk prill dengan kemurnian 99,8%. Adapun hasil analisis ekonomi, didapatkan perhitungan modal tetap sebesar $119.290.886,32, biaya produksi sebesar $630.663.939,21. Selain itu analisis profitabilitas didapatkan nilai ROI sebesar 64,34%, BEP 71,3%, DCFR 27,55%, SDP 13,01%, DBPB selama 2,26 tahun, dan NPV $655.196.416,40.
