Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini, sintesis dan karakterisasi karbon aktif yang berasal dari tandan kosong buah kelapa sawit (TKKS) diselidiki untuk aplikasi elektroda baterai, dengan fokus pada pengaruh waktu perendaman NaOH dan doping silika. Aktivasi kimia dilakukan dengan variasi waktu perendaman NaOH. Waktu aktivasi optimal selama 30 jam menghasilkan luas permukaan tertinggi sebesar 210,14 m²g⁻¹, kapasitansi spesifik 154,02 mAhg⁻¹, dan stabilitas tegangan 2,64 V untuk karbon aktif. Komposit SiO₂-G/C menunjukkan luas permukaan tertinggi sebesar 396,72 m²g⁻¹, kapasitansi spesifik 396,72 mAhg⁻¹, dan tegangan 2,98 V, yang menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam sifat elektrokimia. Hasil ini menyoroti potensi karbon aktif yang berasal dari OPEFB dengan doping silika untuk anoda baterai berkinerja tinggi dalam aplikasi penyimpanan energi, khususnya pada baterai ion-lithium.
