Abstract
Indonesia, sebagai negara tropis yang terletak di garis khatulistiwa, memiliki potensi energi surya yang sangat besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan energi surya dengan merancang dan membangun sistem Single Axis Solar Tracker yang dilengkapi dengan sistem kontrol berbasis IoT. Sistem ini menggunakan Arduino Mega 2560 untuk membaca data dari sensor dan ESP32 untuk mengelola data dari Arduino serta menghubungkannya dengan platform IoT untuk pengendalian jarak jauh. Dengan menggunakan metode if-else untuk menggerakkan Solar Tracker berdasarkan input dari intensitas cahaya matahari dari sensor LDR dan kondisi cuaca dari sensor Raindrop. Data yang diperoleh selama pengujian satu minggu menunjukkan bahwa efisiensi panel dinamis lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan panel statis, dengan nilai rata-rata efisiensi panel dinamis mencapai 25,34%, serta efisiensi tertinggi tercatat sebesar 27,27% dalam kondisi cuaca mendung. Hasil pengujian posisi panel dalam mengikuti pergerakan matahari menunjukkan nilai Mean Absolute Error (MAE) sebesar 14,05, yang menandakan akurasi sistem pelacakan matahari dengan kesalahan yang relatif rendah. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem SAST dengan linear aktuator mampu meningkatkan kinerja panel surya dalam mengikuti pergerakan matahari secara real-time.
