Abstract

Anoda tumbal perlu diganti setelah terpakai 80-95%, dengan sisa 5-20% sering dibuang dan menyebabkan masalah lingkungan. Sesuai dengan SDG 12, limbah sebaiknya dioptimalkan melalui daur ulang direct recast. Penelitian ini merancang furnace gas untuk recast limbah anoda tumbal berdiameter 30 cm dan tinggi 40 cm, yang terbuat dari bahan refractory dan mampu melebur hingga 5 kg Aluminium. Hal ini bertujuan untuk membantu industri pengecoran kecil yang kesulitan bersaing karena penggunaan bahan bakar mahal seperti batubara dan minyak. Evaluasi furnace menunjukkan kinerja dan keandalan prototipe yang dirancang dengan bata tahan api dan insulasi wool. Hasilnya tungku crucible dengan sistem burner dan LPG dapat mencairkan 1,5 kg logam Al dan Zn per batch pada suhu ±560°C - 760°C. Refractory SK-34 dan castable TNC-16 stabil hingga 840°C, tahan reaksi Al-Zn cair, dengan desain silinder dan burner LPG untuk distribusi panas merata. Efisiensi kalor: Al 51,447. 7 kJ, Zn 33, 171,48 kJ. Furnace dapat bertahan 15–20 batch untuk recasting limbah anoda. Rockwool dipilih karena memiliki performa termal lebih baik dibanding glasswool, dengan waktu peleburan 14,3 menit untuk rockwool dan 16,7 menit untuk glasswool, suhu dinding luar yang lebih rendah 41,7°C untuk rockwool dan 50,3°C untuk glasswool, serta kehilangan massa logam lebih sedikit 4,37%-4,6% untuk rockwool dan 5%–5,97% untuk glasswool. Rockwool lebih efisien menahan panas dan mengurangi kehilangan logam.
