Abstract

Kalimantan Timur adalah salah satu wilayah penghasil batu bara terpenting di Indonesia, memberikan kontribusi signifikan untuk sektor energi global. Situasi ini juga meningkatkan permintaan akan armada kapal tongkang dan tugboat, serta layanan perbaikan kapal yang sesuai dengan standar yang berlaku. PT. Barokah Galangan Perkasa yang merupakan galangan kapal yang terletak di Samarinda, Kalimantan Timur, bertekad untuk memenuhi permintaan pasar melalui fasilitas yang berkualitas tinggi dan layanan yang memuaskan. Akan tetapi, peningkatan permintaan mendorong perusahaan untuk memperluas tata letak galangan kapal demi meningkatkan kapasitas produksi dan perbaikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besar investasi yang diperlukan untuk perluasan layout galangan kapal, dan mengetahui kapan investasi tersebut akan mencapai titik balik-modal berdasarkan perhitungan Payback Period. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dari penelitian ini, total investasi yang dibutuhkan untuk perluasan galangan kapal adalah sebesar Rp. 71.597.363.000. Melalui perhitungan metode Payback Period, investasi ini diperkirakan akan mencapai titik balik modal dalam waktu 3,13 tahun atau setara dengan 3 tahun penuh ditambah sekitar 2 bulan. Kata kunci : 1. East Kalimantan is one of the most important coal producing regions in Indonesia, contributing significantly to the global energy sector. This situation also increases the demand for barge and tugboat fleets, as well as ship repair services that comply with applicable standards. PT. Barokah Galangan Perkasa, a shipyard located in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, is determined to meet market demand through high-quality facilities and satisfactory services. However, the increasing demand has prompted the company to expand the layout of the shipyard in order to increase production and repair capacity. This study aims to determine the amount of investment required to expand the layout of the shipyard, and to determine when the investment will reach the break-even point based on the Payback Period calculation. Based on the calculation results of this study, the total investment required for the expansion of the shipyard is Rp. 71.597.363.000. Through the calculation of the Payback Period method, this investment is estimated to reach the break-even point within 3,13 years or equivalent to 3 full years plus about 2 months. Keyword : 1.
