Abstract

Sistem tenaga listrik menghadapi tantangan dalam menjaga stabilitas dan keandalan akibat meningkatnya gangguan, fluktuasi beban, dan penetrasi energi terbarukan. Untuk menjawab tantangan ini, digunakan Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) sebagai perangkat pemantauan real-time yang mampu mengukur tegangan, arus, sudut fasa, dan frekuensi secara sinkron. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan menganalisis sistem deteksi gangguan berbasis PMU untuk meningkatkan efektivitas sistem proteksi. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pemodelan dan simulasi sistem tenaga listrik menggunakan MATLAB Simulink dengan studi kasus Subsistem Mahakam. Analisis dilakukan terhadap kondisi beban 100% dan 20%, serta gangguan tiga fasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PMU mampu mempercepat proses deteksi gangguan dan meningkatkan akurasi proteksi sistem. Selain itu, integrasi PMU memungkinkan pemantauan parameter daya (aktif dan reaktif) dari 32 lokasi secara real-time. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa PMU dapat mendukung pengambilan keputusan cepat dan peningkatan keandalan sistem tenaga secara keseluruhan.
