Abstract

Melamin adalah senyawa organik multifungsi yang digunakan secara luas dalam industri furniture, plywood, perekat, dan pelapis, terutama untuk produksi resin melamin-formaldehida. Keunggulannya meliputi sifat tahan panas, kekuatan, dan stabilitas kimia, menjadikannya bahan baku utama untuk laminasi, plastik, dan berbagai aplikasi lainnya. Namun, lebih dari 80% kebutuhan melamin di Indonesia masih dipenuhi melalui impor, yang menyebabkan pengurasan devisa negara dan kerentanan terhadap fluktuasi harga serta pasokan global. Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik, konsumsi melamin dalam negeri meningkat dengan rata-rata pertumbuhan 2,04% per tahun, mencapai 26.479,836 ton. Untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut, dirancang pabrik melamin dengan kapasitas produksi 18.500 ton per tahun menggunakan teknologi DSM Stamicarbon. Teknologi ini dipilih karena tingkat konversi yang tinggi (90%), efisiensi energi, dan ramah lingkungan, dengan operasi tekanan rendah fase gas 7 bar. Proses ini memanfaatkan bahan baku urea yang melimpah di dalam negeri, sehingga memberikan nilai tambah signifikan bagi sektor industri.Pabrik ini direncanakan berlokasi di Kawasan Industri JIIPE (Java Integrated Industrial and Ports Estate), Gresik, Jawa Timur, yang strategis dengan akses ke bahan baku, infrastruktur, dan pasar. Pembangunan pabrik ini tidak hanya mengurangi ketergantungan impor, tetapi juga mendukung prinsip pembangunan berkelanjutan, menciptakan lapangan kerja, dan memperkuat ekosistem industri kimia nasional. Hasil Analisa ekonomi pada pabrik melamin didapatkan perhitungan dengan modal, modal kerja sebesar, dan biaya produksi sebesar. Selain itu, dari analisis profitabilitas menunjukkan nilai ROI sebesar 93%, SDP 53%, BEP 64%, NPV sebesar Rp. 52.971.123.028.331,1, DCFR 59 %, dan DPBP 0,74 tahun
