Abstract

Produksi silikon dioksida (SiO2) dari abu boiler Pabrik Kelapa Sawit melalui proses sol-gel dengan kapasitas 100.000 ton/tahun, terdiri atas 4 proses, yaitu proses pre-trearment abu boiler, proses hidrolisis, proses asidifikasi, dan proses aging/pematangan. Tahap pre-treatment dilakukan untuk memisahkan partikel-partikel pengotor pada abu boiler dengan metode penyaringan. Selanjutnya, tahap hidrolisis dilakukan dengan mereaksikan abu boiler dengan larutan natrium hidroksida pada reaktor alir tanki berpengaduk. Pada tahap asidifikasi dilakukan dengan merekasikan natrium silikat dengan asam sulfat dan diperoleh silika gel serta larutan natrium sulfat. Kemudian dilakukan proses pematangan dengan memisahkan padatan silika dan larutan natrium sulfat pada rotary drum vacuum filter. Hasil pemisahan dikeringkan untuk memperoleh padatan silikon dioksida. Pabrik silikon dioksida beroperasi selama 24 jam dalam setahun (330 hari) dimana jumlah pekerja sebanyak 118 pekerja dengan pembagian jam kerja 3 shift selama 8 jam/shift. Pabrik ini akan direncanakan didirikan di Kawasan Industri Pangkalan Bun, Kotawaringin Barat, Kalimantan Tengah dengan luas tanah sebesar 21,642 m2. Pabrik Silkon Dioksida ini membutuhkan listrik sebesar 407,51 kW/jam dan kebutuhan air sebesar 2.184.596,32 kg/jam. Adapun modal tetap (FCI) dan modal kerja (WCI) yang dibutuhkan dalam pembangunan pabrik sebesar $ 73.139.689,26 dan $ 10.970.953,39. Sehingga jumlah modal investasi (TCI) pabrik ini sebesar $ 84.213.151,74. Berdasarkan aspek ekonomi nilai ROI sebesar 42,29%, BEP sebesar 19,5% , SDP sebesar 5,5%, DPBP pabrik ini sebesar 1 tahun 6 bulan, NPV sebesar $ 946.792.046,61 dan DCFR sebesar 24,74%. Berdasarkan analisis ekonomi pabrik silikon dioksida diatas dapat dikatakan bahwa pabrik silikon dioksida ini layak untuk dikaji lebih lanjut.
