Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun antena Double Ridged Horn (DRH) yang dioptimalkan untuk aplikasi Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). Antena ini dirancang bekerja pada rentang frekuensi 2–4 GHz dengan target gain lebih dari 10 dB. Desain dan simulasi dilakukan menggunakan CST Microwave Studio, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan proses fabrikasi dan pengujian langsung. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa variasi dimensi seperti panjang waveguide, tinggi radiator, ukuran ridged, serta lebar dan tinggi corong sangat berpengaruh terhadap parameter performansi antena seperti S-11, gain, directivity, dan bandwidth. Nilai S-11 simulasi diperoleh pada -33.67 dB pada frekuensi 3.124 GHz dengan bandwidth 1260 MHz, gain 12.60 dB, dan directivity 1263 dB. Antena yang telah difabrikasi menunjukkan nilai S-11 sebesar -33.06 dB, bandwidth 400 MHz, dan frekuensi 3.96 GHz dengan pola radiasi directional. Pengujian dalam sistem GPR menunjukkan bahwa antena mampu mendeteksi objek logam di bawah permukaan dengan dan tanpa medium pasir. Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa antena DRH yang dirancang memiliki kinerja baik dan layak diaplikasikan pada sistem GPR untuk mendeteksi objek bawah permukaan.
