Abstract
Sistem water pump high pressure memiliki potensi bahaya tinggi akibat tekanan berlebih yang dapat menyebabkan kerusakan peralatan, kebocoran sistem, dan kecelakaan kerja. Sistem Emergency Shutdown (ESD) manual memiliki keterbatasan karena proses penghentian operasi masih bergantung pada respons operator. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan menguji prototype sistem Emergency Shutdown (ESD) otomatis berbasis sensor pressure transducer dan Arduino Uno untuk meningkatkan keselamatan operasional pada water pump high pressure. Tahapan penelitian meliputi perancangan sistem, perakitan prototype, pemrograman logika shutdown otomatis, pengujian pembacaan tekanan, pengujian fungsi On/Off pompa, dan analisis risiko menggunakan metode Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan prototype mampu melakukan shutdown otomatis secara konsisten pada rentang tekanan 0,20–0,40 bar dengan waktu respon ESD sebesar 0,6 detik. Pipa 1/2 inch menghasilkan waktu pencapaian tekanan lebih cepat dibandingkan pipa 3/4 inch. Pengujian debit 5 liter pada pipa 3/4 inch tidak mampu mencapai tekanan 0,40 bar, dikarenakan keterbatasan pompa sedangkan pengujian debit 10 liter mampu mencapai seluruh setpoint tekanan. Hasil analisis FMEA menunjukkan terdapat 3 risiko kategori tinggi, 15 risiko kategori sedang, dan 3 risiko kategori rendah. Nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN) tertinggi sebesar 250 terdapat pada kegagalan aktivasi sistem ESD saat tekanan melebihi batas aman. Prototype yang dikembangkan mampu mendeteksi tekanan abnormal dan menghentikan operasi pompa sesuai logika sistem yang dirancang sehingga dapat mendukung peningkatan keselamatan operasional.
