Abstract

Dalam industri manufaktur presisi, tantangan utama adalah menjaga kualitas permukaan optimal sekaligus meminimalkan keausan pahat, terutama pada material sulit seperti baja tahan karat AISI 201 yang memiliki work hardening tinggi, kekuatan tarik besar, serta konduktivitas termal rendah. Kondisi ini mempercepat keausan pahat dan menurunkan mutu permukaan. Walaupun pengaruh parameter pemotongan konvensional pada face milling dan slot milling telah banyak diteliti, pemahaman mengenai interaksi strategi arah pemakanan (climb dan conventional) dan kecepatan pemakanan dalam kondisi contour milling masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh strategi arah pemakanan dan variasi kecepatan pemakanan terhadap keausan pahat (flank wear), struktur mikro, dan kekasaran permukaan (Ra). Eksperimen dilakukan dengan dua variabel bebas, yaitu strategi pemakanan (climb dan conventional) serta kecepatan pemakanan tiga level (150, 200, dan 250 mm/menit), menggunakan baja tahan karat AISI 201. Variabel kontrol meliputi kecepatan spindel 2500 RPM, kedalaman pemakanan 1 mm, dan pendingin oil base. Jumlah pengulangan ditentukan dengan Rumus Federer. Data dianalisis menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) untuk menilai efek tunggal maupun interaksi, serta uji struktur mikro pada mata pahat guna memvisualisasikan mekanisme keausan. Hasil penelitian diharapkan memperkaya literatur machinability baja AISI 201 sekaligus memberi panduan aplikatif bagi operator dan programmer CNC dalam menentukan parameter optimal, sehingga efisiensi meningkat dan biaya akibat keausan pahat berlebih dapat ditekan.Kata kunci: Analisis Eksperimental, Arah pemakanan (climb or Conventional Milling), Baja Stainless AISI 201, Contour CNC Milling Kecepatan pemakanan, Kekasaran Permukaan, Keausan Pahat.
