Abstract

Pertumbuhan penduduk Kota Balikpapan yang dipengaruhi pembangunan Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) meningkatkan kebutuhan fasilitas pendidikan, sementara ketersediaan sekolah, khususnya sekolah Islam, masih terbatas. Kondisi ini diperparah oleh ketimpangan daya tampung, kualitas bangunan yang belum optimal, serta kurangnya integrasi nilai keislaman dan aspek kenyamanan lingkungan belajar seperti pencahayaan alami, ventilasi, dan ruang terbuka hijau. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan perancangan fasilitas pendidikan yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan akademik, spiritual, dan lingkungan secara terpadu. Metode perancangan dilakukan melalui pengumpulan data primer dan sekunder, studi literatur, studi preseden, analisis tapak, analisis kebutuhan ruang, serta sintesis konsep desain berdasarkan standar pendidikan dan karakteristik pengguna. Konsep perancangan mengintegrasikan prinsip arsitektur Islam yang berlandaskan nilai habluminallah, habluminannas, dan habluminal‘alam dengan prinsip arsitektur biofilik, yaitu nature in the space, natural analogues, dan nature of the space. Hasil perancangan berupa Komplek Sekolah Islam jenjang SD, SMP, dan SMA di Kota Balikpapan yang responsif terhadap iklim tropis, menghadirkan lingkungan belajar yang sehat, nyaman, dan bermakna secara spiritual melalui penerapan elemen alam, ruang terbuka hijau, pencahayaan serta ventilasi alami, sehingga mampu mendukung pembentukan karakter religius peserta didik secara holistik dan berkelanjutan. Kata kunci: Arsitektur Biofilik, Kenyamanan Bangunan, Prinsip Arsitektur Islam, Sekolah Islam.
