Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi otomasi menuntut tersedianya sistem kendali yang efisien, fleksibel, dan terjangkau. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) konvensional banyak digunakan pada sistem industri karena memiliki kemampuan dalam membaca input, memproses logika kendali, dan mengendalikan output. Namun, penggunaan PLC konvensional masih memiliki keterbatasan dari sisi biaya perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak, khususnya untuk kebutuhan pembelajaran dan penelitian di laboratorium. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan prototipe PLC berbasis mikrokontroler ESP32-WROOM-32D yang mampu merepresentasikan struktur dasar PLC industri. Metode penelitian dilakukan melalui studi literatur, perancangan perangkat keras, implementasi perangkat lunak, serta pengujian sistem. Prototipe yang dirancang terdiri atas catu daya 24 VDC, modul step-down LM2596 sebagai penurun tegangan menjadi 5 VDC, ESP32-WROOM-32D sebagai unit pemroses, rangkaian voltage divider sebagai antarmuka input digital 24 VDC menuju GPIO ESP32, serta modul relay sebagai output digital. Pada sisi perangkat lunak, sistem menggunakan OpenPLC Editor V4 dan OpenPLC Runtime agar ESP32 dapat menjalankan program Ladder Diagram. Fungsi logika yang diuji meliputi Normally Open, Normally Closed, AND, OR, dan Timer On Delay. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem catu daya bekerja dengan baik, ditunjukkan oleh keluaran LM2596 sebesar 5,02 V, suplai ESP32 sebesar 5,01 V, dan suplai relay sebesar 5,01 V. Rangkaian voltage divider mampu menurunkan tegangan input 24 VDC menjadi tegangan aman bagi ESP32 dengan hasil pengukuran aktual berada pada rentang 3,34 V sampai 3,41 V. Pengujian program Ladder Diagram pada OpenPLC Runtime menunjukkan bahwa seluruh fungsi logika dapat berjalan sesuai prinsip kerja PLC. Pada pengujian trainer kit, kondisi fisik relay terlihat berlawanan dengan nilai output pada OpenPLC Runtime karena modul relay yang digunakan memiliki karakteristik active LOW trigger. Perbedaan tersebut bukan disebabkan oleh kesalahan program, melainkan oleh karakteristik perangkat keras relay. Dengan demikian, prototipe PLC berbasis ESP32-WROOM-32D mampu membaca input digital, memproses logika kendali, dan mengendalikan output relay sesuai program yang diberikan.
