Abstract

Meningkatnya penggunaan baterai Lithium-ion pada beragam peralatan elektronik sampai kendaraan seperti motor dan mobil listrik sehingga dibutuhkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam mengenai faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesehatan baterai atau State of Health (SoH). Salah satu faktor yang cukup jarang dibahas namun sebenarnya memiliki pengaruh penting adalah rest time, yaitu waktu istirahat baterai setelah proses charge maupun discharge. Rest time berperan dalam proses relaksasi internal baterai yang dapat mempengaruhi kapasitas baterai itu sendiri serta kestabilan tegangan baterai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi rest time dan variasi C-rate terhadap nilai SoH pada baterai Lithium-ion 18650 melalui siklus charge–discharge menggunakan metode C-rate dan perhitungan kapasitas dengan metode Coulomb Counting. Pengujian dilakukan dengan melakukan proses charge dan discharge dengan variasi C-rate maupun rest time. Data pengujian menunjukan bahwa variasi rest time dan C-rate berpengaruh pada nilai SoH masing-masing sel baterai karena dengan perbedaan rest time dan C-rate yang diberikan ke baterai mengakibatkan perubahan nilai SoH yang berbeda-beda juga, namun variasi C/10 dan rest time 3 jam memiliki perubahan SoH yang paling kecil, yaitu 3% - 5% saja. Metode Coloumb Counting juga digunakan dalam perhitungan kapasitas baterai baik saat proses charge ataupun discharge¸dibuktikan dengan tabel perhitungan kapasitas pada masing-masing sel baterai di bab analisis. Variasi C-rate dan variasi rest time juga memiliki pengaruh pada voltage recovery (pemulihan tegangan) baterai, dapat terlihat dengan jelas di Gambar 4.9, pemberian rest time setelah proses charge-discharge memberikan efek voltage recovery dimana tegangan baterai sel 2 di siklus pertama setelah proses discharge memiliki nilai 2,37 dan setelah dilakukan rest time selama 2 jam, tegangan baterai naik ke 2,71.
