Abstract

Peningkatan jumlah penduduk di Kecamatan Babulu menyebabkan bertambahnya timbulan sampah yang berpotensi menimbulkan permasalahann lingkungan apabila tidak dikelola dengan baik. Kondisi tersebut diperparah oleh keterbatasan fasilitas persampahan, rendahnya tingkat pemilahan sampah dari sumber, serta rencana penutupan TPA Buluminung pada masa mendatang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitungan timbulan, komposisi, karakteristik, dan densitas sampah, menganalisis kondisi eksisting pengelolaan sampah, serta merencanakan Tempat Pengolahan Sampah Reduce, Reuse, dan Recycle (TPS 3R) di Kecamatan Babulu. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi lapangan, pengukuran timbulann dan komposisi sampah berdasarkan SNI 3964:2025, wawancara, kuesioner, dan analisis teknis perencanaan TPS 3R. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah penduduk Kecamatan Babulu diproyeksikan mencapai 56.295 jiwa pada tahun 2036 dengan timbulan sampah sebesar 7.625,49 kg/hari. Komposisi sampah didominasi oleh sampah organik sebesar 32%, plastik sebesar 30%, kertas, karton, dan kardus sebesar 8%, logam sebesar 3%, kaca sebesar 4%, dan residu sebesar 23%, dengan densitas rata-rata sebesar 38,55 kg/m3, sedangkan karakteristik sampah organik menunjukkan kadar air sebesar 15,33 - 15,42% dan rasio C/N sebesar 58,90 - 59,50. Kondisi pengelolaan sampah eksisting masih belum optimal karena keterbatasan TPS, pewadahan yang belum terpilah, dan masih ditemukannya prakrik pembakaran sampah. Berdasarkan analisis kesesuaian lokasi menggunakan metode ranking procedure, area di sekitar SMKN 3 Babulu Darat dipilih sebagai lokasi pembangunan TPS 3R dengan nilai kesesuaian tertinggi sebesar 820. Hasil perencanaan menunjukkan kebutuhan lahan seluas 949,29 m2 dengan biaya pembangunan sebesar Rp1.835.462.000,00. TPS 3R yang direncanakan diharapkan mampu mengurangi beban sampah yang masuk ke TPA, meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan sampah, serta mendukung terciptanya lingkungan yang bersih dan berkelanjutan di Kecamatan Babulu.
