Abstract

Baterai Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) banyak digunakan pada sistem cadangan daya dan peralatan industri karena memiliki biaya produksi rendah, perawatan mudah, serta keandalan tinggi. Meskipun demikian, baterai VRLA tetap mengalami degradasi kapasitas akibat proses charge dan discharge yang berulang, yang dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, salah satunya paparan frekuensi Extremely Low Frequency (ELF). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sistem pengujian baterai VRLA berbasis Arduino Uno serta menganalisis pengaruh variasi frekuensi ELF terhadap degradasi kapasitas baterai VRLA selama proses discharge. Sistem pengujian dirancang untuk memantau arus, tegangan, dan waktu secara real-time, kemudian menghitung nilai kapasitas dan State of Charge (SoC) menggunakan metode Coulomb Counting. Pengujian dilakukan pada dua kondisi, yaitu tanpa paparan frekuensi dan dengan paparan variasi frekuensi ELF sebesar 1 Hz, 6 Hz, 12 Hz, 18 Hz, 24 Hz, dan 30 Hz, dengan beban resistor 22 Ω dan tiga kali pengulangan pada setiap kondisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem pengujian yang dirancang berhasil melakukan pemantauan parameter kelistrikan baterai dengan baik. Pada kondisi tanpa paparan frekuensi, kapasitas baterai berada pada rentang 3,220–3,753 Ah dengan SoC akhir 17%–28% dan waktu discharge 13,8–16,01 jam. Seiring dengan meningkatnya frekuensi ELF hingga 30 Hz, kapasitas baterai menurun menjadi 1,056–1,308 Ah, SoC akhir meningkat menjadi 71%–77%, dan waktu discharge menurun menjadi 9,72–10,02 jam. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan frekuensi ELF menyebabkan baterai mencapai tegangan cut-off lebih cepat sehingga sebagian kapasitas yang tersimpan tidak dapat dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Dengan demikian, variasi frekuensi ELF terbukti memberikan pengaruh terhadap degradasi kapasitas baterai VRLA pada kondisi pengujian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini.
