Abstract

Perubahan garis pantai merupakan proses dinamis yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor alami maupun aktivitas manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perubahan garis pantai di pesisir Kecamatan Penajam, Kabupaten Penajam Paser Utara periode 2016–2026, membandingkan karakteristik perubahan pada pantai berstruktur dan pantai alami, serta mengidentifikasi karakteristik sedimen pada setiap lokasi penelitian. Penelitian menggunakan citra Sentinel-2 yang diolah dengan metode Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI) untuk ekstraksi garis pantai. Analisis perubahan garis pantai dilakukan menggunakan Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS) dengan parameter Net Shoreline Movement (NSM), End Point Rate (EPR), Shoreline Change Envelope (SCE), dan Linear Regression Rate (LRR). Analisis pendukung meliputi pasang surut, gelombang berdasarkan data angin ERA5 ECMWF, serta analisis granulometri sedimen pada empat lokasi penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai LRR berkisar antara -1,17 m/tahun hingga 2,62 m/tahun dengan rata-rata 0,43 m/tahun. Sebanyak 23 transek mengalami akresi dan 17 transek mengalami abrasi sehingga secara umum wilayah penelitian cenderung mengalami akresi. Pantai Istana Pasir dan Pantai Nipah-Nipah menunjukkan kecenderungan lebih stabil hingga mengalami akresi, sedangkan Pantai Bumi Taka dan Pantai Oden cenderung mengalami abrasi. Analisis sedimen menunjukkan dominasi pasir halus hingga sangat halus pada Pantai Istana Pasir, Nipah-Nipah, dan Oden, sedangkan Pantai Bumi Taka didominasi pasir kasar hingga sangat kasar. Hasil validasi garis pantai menunjukkan rata-rata selisih posisi sebesar 5,0 m sehingga hasil ekstraksi dinilai cukup representatif untuk analisis perubahan garis pantai.
