Abstract

Perkembangan pesat industri otomotif meningkatkan kebutuhan akan metode penyambungan pelat logam yang efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dampak variasi sudut pengelasan titik terhadap struktur mikro dan sifat mekanik pada sambungan las titik Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) baja SS400 setebal 0,8 mm. Proses pengelasan diatur konstan menggunakan arus 100 A, tegangan 26 V, waktu tahan 5 detik, gas pelindung CO2, serta kawat las ER70S-6 diameter 0,8 mm. Variasi sudut pengelasan yang analisis adalah 30°, 45°, dan 60°. Pengujian sambungan dilakukan melalui uji visual, uji geser, dan pengamatan metalografi. Pada uji tegangan geser tertinggi dicapai oleh sudut 30° (353,28 MPa) akibat luas penampang kritis nugget yang lebih kecil, dibandingkan sudut 45° (319,79 MPa) dan 60° (251,86 MPa). Seluruh sampel mengalami modus kegagalan pull-out, mengindikasikan kekuatan daerah lasan melampaui logam induk. Karakterisasi mikrostruktur menunjukkan bahwa sudut 60° menghasilkan laju pendinginan kostan yang memicu dominasi fasa ferit berbentuk jarum hingga 66% dan diameter butir rata-rata paling halus sebesar 2,8 µm, sehingga efektif meningkatkan kemampuan sambungan dalam menahan beban mekanik
