Abstract

Air asam tambang (AAT) mengandung polutan Fe, Mn, dan TSS dalam konsentrasi tinggi, sehingga memerlukan pengolahan yang efektif sebelum dibuang ke media lingkungan. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi fitoremediasi daripada Chrysopogon zizanioides dengan mengkaji pengaruh variasi massa tanaman (100, 200, dan 300 gram) dan aerasi, serta menentukan variasi perlakuan yang optimal. Penelitian dimulai dari penelitian pendahuluan yang meliputi aklimatisasi dan range finding test (RFT) masing-masing selama 7 hari. Hasil RFT menjadi dasar penelitian utama selama 14 hari. Karakteristik awal AAT menunjukkan konsentrasi Fe, Mn, dan TSS sebesar 71,5 mg/L, 5,43 mg/L, dan 15.240 mg/L, yang belum memenuhi standar baku mutu Perda Kaltim No.2 Tahun 2011. Analisis statistik mengindikasikan bahwa aerasi memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap penyisihan polutan (p < 0,05), sedangkan variasi massa tanaman tidak memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan. Kondisi optimum dicapai pada perlakuan tanpa aerasi dengan menggunakan 300 gram Chrysopogon zizanioides, yang menghasilkan nilai optimasi sebesar 0,949.
