Abstract
Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengujian karakteristik dan performa prototipe baterai ion lithium coin cell dengan elektroda berbasis karbon kulit kakao yang dimodifikasi menggunakan silika geotermal (SiO2-G) sebagai material dopan. Karbon disintesis melalui proses karbonisasi dan aktivasi kimia menggunakan FeCl3 dengan variasi temperatur 700°C, 750°C, 800°C, 850°C, dan 900°C. Selanjutnya, proses doping silika geotermal dilakukan menggunakan metode impregnasi untuk meningkatkan karakteristik permukaan dan sifat elektrokimia karbon. Karakterisasi material meliputi Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) untuk mengidentifikasi gugus fungsi, Scanning Electron Microscope - Energy Dispersive X-Ray (SEM–EDX) untuk menganalisis morfologi dan komposisi unsur, serta Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) untuk menentukan luas permukaan spesifik karbon. Kinerja elektrokimia elektroda diuji menggunakan metode Cyclic Voltammetry (CV), Charge-Discharge (CD), dan Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) guna mengevaluasi perilaku penyimpanan muatan, stabilitas pengisian-pengosongan, serta karakteristik transport ion dalam sistem baterai coin cell. Diperoleh tegangan baterai paling optimal pada coin cell sebesar 3,129 Volt, nilai kapasitas spesifik terbesar 466,67 mAh/g, lama waktu charge-discharge 336,0024 s, dan hambatan elektroda paling kecil sebesar 16,23Ω.
