Abstract
Sodium Dodecylbenzene Sulfonate (SDBS) merupakan surfaktan anionik dari golongan alkylbenzene sulfonate yang banyak digunakan sebagai bahan aktif pada deterjen dan berbagai produk pembersih. Kebutuhan surfaktan anionik di Indonesia masih bergantung pada impor sehingga diperlukan pendirian pabrik dalam negeri untuk memenuhi kebutuhan industri sekaligus mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap produk impor. Pabrik ini dirancang menggunakan bahan baku dodekilbenzena dan oleum 20% melalui proses sulfonasi yang dilanjutkan dengan proses netralisasi menggunakan larutan natrium hidroksida (NaOH) 50% serta pengeringan menggunakan spray dryer untuk menghasilkan produk berbentuk serbuk. Pemilihan proses sulfonasi menggunakan oleum 20% didasarkan pada kondisi operasi yang relatif moderat, konversi reaksi yang tinggi, serta menghasilkan produk samping berupa asam sulfat yang masih memiliki nilai ekonomis. Pabrik direncanakan berdiri pada tahun 2035 di Modern Cikande Industrial Estate dengan kapasitas produksi sebesar 32.000 ton/tahun.Pemilihan lokasi didasarkan pada ketersediaan bahan baku, utilitas, kemudahan distribusi, dan kedekatan dengan pasar. Berdasarkan analisis ekonomi, laju pengembalian modal (ROI) sebesar 80,01% pada tingkat suku bunga bank sebesar 8%, waktu pengembalian modal (DPBP) selama 0,89 tahun, titik impas (BEP) sebesar 41%, dan (DCFR) sebesar 32%. Umur pabrik dirancang selama 16 tahun dengan masa konstruksi 3 tahun. Untuk kapasitas tersebut, diperlukan biaya produksi total (TPC) sebesar Rp1.313.694.483.116 dan biaya investasi total (TCI) sebesar Rp358.299.597.613 Hasil pra-rancangan menunjukkan bahwa pabrik Sodium Dodecylbenzene Sulfonate (SDBS) ini layak didirikan secara teknis dan ekonomis.
