Abstract
Institut Teknologi Kalimantan merupakan kampus yang berlokasi di Jl. Soekarno Hatta KM 15, Balikpapan. Institut Teknologi Kalimantan berdiri pada tahun 2015 dan sudah memiliki 6 gedung pada tahun 2020. Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui beban pendingin dan kapasitas dayay AC yang diperlukan pada ruangan 205 dan 206 gedung E ITK. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kajian pustaka, observasi, dan pengambilan data dari BMKG. Mengamati berbagai kejadian seperti sudut pancaran matahari, peralatan elektronik, masuknya udara melalui celah infiltrasi, dan penghuni pada penelitian ini diasumsikan sebanyak 80 orang pada ruang 205 E dan 40 orang pada ruang 206 E. Kemudian dilakukan perhitungan beban pendinginan pada ruangan 205 dan 206 gedung E ITK. Hasil penelitian yang didapat yaitu beban pendinginan total pada ruangan 205 gedung E ITK adalah sebesar 89623,24 Btu/hr dan daya AC yang dibutuhkan sebesar 8 PK, dengan 4 unit AC yang masing-masing berkapasitas 2 PK. Pada ruangan 206 gedung E ITK didapatkan nilai total beban pendinginan sebesar 50342,64 Btu/hr serta daya AC yang dibutuhkan adalah 5 PK, dengan 2 unit AC masing-masing berkapasitas 2,5 PK.
