Abstract
Produksi metanol dari gas alam Kepulauan Natuna dengan kapasitas 719.000 ton/tahun terdiri dari tiga tahapan proses, yaitu tahap pre-treatment gas alam, tahap sintesa metanol, dan tahap pemurnian produk metanol. Pre-treatment bahan baku gas alam dilakukan untuk memperoleh CO2 sebagai bahan baku. Kemudian tahap sintesa metanol dilakukan dengan mereaksikan CO2 dengan H2 yang diperoleh dari elektrolisis air laut. Tahap pemurnian produk metanol dilakukan untuk menghilangkan kadar air dan CO2 agar diperoleh produk dengan kemurnian tinggi. Pabrik metanol ini memiliki jumlah pekerja sebanyak 347 pekerja dengan waktu operasi 24 jam selama setahun yang dibagi menjadi 3 shift dengan 8 jam kerja/shift. Pabrik ini rencananya akan didirikan di Bunguran Utara, Kepulauan Natuna tepatnya Desa Teluk Buton dengan luas tanah 78.000 m2. Pabrik metanol ini membutuhkan listrik sebesar 17.752.714,37 kW dan kebutuhan air sebesar 17.927.649,48 m3/jam. Adapun modal tetap (FCI) dan modal kerja (WCI) yang dibutuhkan dalam pembangunan pabrik ini berturut-turut sebesar Rp 7.775.011.658.270 dan Rp 1.372.060.880.871. Sehingga jumlah modal investasi (TCI) pabrik ini sebesar Rp 9.147.072.539.142. Berdasarkan aspek ekonomi nilai DCFR pabrik ini sebesar 20,54%, ROI sebelum pajak sebesar 36,74% dan setelah pajak sebesar 25,72%, POT selama 4,1 tahun, dan BEP sebesar 41,36%. Dari aspek tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pabrik metanol ini layak untuk dikaji lebih lanjut.
